Excellent quality for the money!I ordered a new 1911 commander from Fusion firearms about 7 weeks ago and it just arrived. I did some slight customizations – chrome slide and a K trigger - but otherwise it was a Riptide-C in 9mm.
Fit and finish were superb – no wiggle in the slide fit, no gaps whatsoever. Took it to the range and fired 130 rounds in 20 minutes, a mix of 115 gr and 147 gr ammo, both self -defense and target ammo. Used three different 1911 mags – the one that came with it (Mec-Gar??), Wilson combat, and a SigSauer 1911 mag – no issue whatsoever. First time with the gun I was able to shoot a 3.5 inch group at 30 feet. (I will get better as I get used to it!). Trigger was great, right at 3 lbs. with a short and crisp reset.
Couldn’t be happier with this gun so far, a great value for superior quality!!

By Far best bang for the buckI have owned several 1911's of various price points. This is by far the best, especially for the cost. I wish I could share the first shots, literally minutes after purchasing the Riptide. Baseball size grouping barely left of the center of target (I think the push left was a mistake on my part as the grouping was exceptional). -

Very nice gun overallThis is the first 1911 I have owned. The trigger is light and crisp, and the sights are very good. Slide Operation is smooth and thumb safety snaps on/off. Finish is very uniform and wood/metal fit is good. One dislike is that only one magazine was included. -

Impressive!I have 4 other 1911 pistols and I can say this Riptide-C is far and away the nicest. The fit and finish Fusion performs make you think you've purchased a custom gun. My gun came with a very nice range bag and two spare recoil springs of different weight for personalizing. Fusion also made a caliber change to .38 Super Auto for a reasonable fee. This is my EDC now! -

Couple I wanted another 1911 I checked everywhere I decided on the riptide from FusionI fired close to 500 rounds through the riptide I've owned 100 handguns some of those are1911 and the riptide a superior to all of them it's a pleasure to shoot very accurate make your shooter look real good I'm contemplating buying another Fusion C a 45 and I'm positive I've enjoyed it just as much as my 9 m m thanks Fusion it's about time somebody came along with a 1911 in this price and this quality -

Great pistolI bought a Fusion in 2009 and it’s hands down the most accurate 1911 I ever owned. Fit and finish are as good as any custom gun costing more money. Bravo! -

Best Value for the Money in a 1911!I bought this pistol yesterday and am so impressed with the quality! I am so glad I did not purchase one of the Bobtail Commanders that cost 50% more! -

QUALITY!!!This has to be hands-down the nicest 1911 I have ever used. if you're considering or in the market for a 1911 I highly suggest that you take a look at this company because they make a quality pistol you will never find a slide with his tie to fit smoothest slide action and best firing experience then fusion firearms I bought the riptide c and it's the best decision I ever made sure it may be a little pricey but I tell you what this is like a Maserati with a Cadillac price tag I'm telling you it's worth it absolutely hands down amazing
