Even though there are other vendors offering similar products, I did a lot of shopping around and bought one of these kits about 2 years ago and it was a joy to build. The quality of the materials is quite high, and it is a wonderful opportunity to put together your own 1911. In my case, the pistol came out surprisingly accurate and able to handle quite heavy 10mm loads. I was not crazy about the stock sear and hammer, so I spent a few $$ and got a good sear/hammer separately. But overall for the price, you simply cannot go wrong.
